Dear fellow investors, friends, family and future self.

March has arrived and spring is just around the corner. I can’t wait to feel the heat of the sun and walk barefoot outside!

I’m in the process of revamping this blog. My goal is to provide better value with less information. As I’m investing more and more into equities that doesn’t produce monthly cash flow, I think it makes sense to track my net worth instead of cash flow. This will also give you full insight into my economy including cash and stocks. My first goal is to reach 1 000 000€.

I will soon create a table which shows all my stocks, incl. buy date, buy price, ticker, exit date etc. Until then, make sure to follow me on Twitter @FinanciallyFr33 to get alerts when I make changes to my stock portfolio.

Some good news: Investment property #3 will be added to my portfolio on March 15th. Continue reading “Portfolio update February 2021”

Dear fellow investors, friends, family and future self.

First month of 2021 has passed! Time flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?

I’m thinking about revamping this blog. I’ll continue doing the monthly updates but it would be nice to bring more value in a shorter post. As a first step to cut down time spent doing these updates, I’ve deleted the savings rate and removed the monthly quote.

Next month I might not put the individual “monthly earnings graphs” into the update. They’ll still be available on individual pages in the Crowdlending menu. Maybe I’ll also delete the investment history and replace it with a page that shows the stocks I buy, entry point, target price for selling etc.

I spend most of my days following the stock market and searching for good investment opportunities, so I think it makes sense to bring more of this into the blog.

A friendly follower reached out and suggested that I could make a graph which shows the difference between deposited value and account value. It’s a great suggestion and I’ll probably make it. Any other ideas or suggestions? Let me know in the comments below!

Dear fellow investors, friends, family and future self.

2020 was an eventful year. We spent half if it in Portugal and we loved it even though if was different than usual due to global lockdown. If everything goes as planned we will be back in the warm climate in the second half of 2021.

Last year was also the first year of not being an employee. Even though I had a good job and a great employer, I can’t say I miss the daily 8-16 routine. While I’m not stressed by work anymore, I must admit that financial stress from not having a fixed paycheck coming in every month is more significant than I expected. We’re better off financially than 1 year ago so I guess I shouldn’t be worried. Maybe it just takes some time to get used to?

Income from Crowdlending is on the rise again. I hope this trend continues as the Covid-19 vaccine is being distributed and businesses slowly will be able to operate on a closer-to-normal basis.

4 platforms in my portfolio made it through 2020 without any change in performance to investors, even in the times of a global pandemic. Those are Swaper*, Robocash*, PeerBerry* and ReInvest24*. Kudos to them!

I’m in the process of buying a 3rd property. Read more in the real estate section near the bottom of this post.

Dear fellow investors, friends, family and future self.

October 2020… Not the most eventful month of the year. But we’ve had plenty of moving around lately, so it is kinda nice to settle down for a bit. We spent most of the month looking for a place to live. Only one good rental apartment came on the market and the landlord had a list of 15 interested people who wanted to rent it. Unfortunately, someone else got it, so we’re still on the hunt.

We could go out and buy a house instead of renting one. But I’d rather spend the down payment on another rental property. A third property would increase our cash flow substantially, where owning our home wouldn’t improve our financial situation.

Not much has happened in the P2P industry since last update. A few platforms like Swaper*, Robocash* and PeerBerry* are doing exceptionally well, with no delayed payments and no withdrawal issues.

Mintos announced that they’re looking to raise funding for expanding the business. So if you’re looking to own a small part of Mintos, this is your chance. I’m not looking to participate myself.

Dear fellow investors, friends, family and future self.

September was a busy and eventful month for me and my family.

Unexpectedly, I’m no longer involved in the restaurant business. Long story short, the founder and I didn’t agree on the execution plan.

So we decided to move to a new city, where most of my family lives. At the moment we live in 2 rooms at my dads house, which is not optimal, but it’s nice to have the option while we search for something else. If we find a good house or apartment here, we’ll stay in this area. If not, we’ll move back to Portugal. The kids already started in the new school and they’re enjoying it so far.

The P2P industry is going through tough times. A few platforms like Swaper*, Robocash* and PeerBerry* are doing exceptionally well, with no delayed payments and no withdrawal issues.

Here’s my account statement from September:
