To all my readers and followers. Happy New Year everyone!

It’s time to wrap up the year and see how my portfolio performed in the last month of 2019.

But before we continue I’d like everyone to take a chill-pill. I get way too many emails and messages from people who are worried by the slightest hickup.

Crowdlending platforms are high-risk investments! If you’re not prepared for some rollercoaster action you should probably invest in something else.

Yes, I follow the sector closely. Yes, I visit platforms, engage with the community etc. In fact, I do everything I can to be the guy who has the most insights into the Baltic crowdlending industry. But in the end, please keep in mind;

Airplane tickets are bought…
Our apartment contract has been terminated…
We will move from Denmark to Portugal on February 15th!

Reality is coming closer. Could you imagine leaving everything behind, except for your closest family and whatever you could fit into your suitcase?

I was just about to write some more thoughts about this subject, when I realized something… Why not make an entire post series called “Moving to another country to FIRE earlier”? It could be an interesting read.

I think I will do that and focus on MONEY in the portfolio updates.

Dear friends, family and financial freedom seekers from all over the world.

October was quite a month… I quit my day-job!

Since I have 3 months notice, my last day will be January 31st. However, I’m on paternity leave until January 2nd and I have more than 5 weeks of vacation left, so I might not come back at all.

Why quit now? Well, since I reached my first goal of 3 000€ per month back in July, I started looking at my options. As my good friend Mark described this blog post I could retrire in Portugal and live a pretty good life already, since costs of living are lower than in Denmark.

The first month of the fall has arrived. I’ve already found the wool socks from my back of my closet in order not to freeze my feet while writing this monthly update. Brr…

I’m looking forward to our vacation in Portugal starting from Tuesday next week. Hopefully the weather is a bit warmer than in Denmark. It would be nice to dive into the pool with my daughters.

Hello everyone and welcome to another monthly update!

While I’m on paternity leave and changing dipers on my new born baby girl, the passive income from crowdlending keeps coming in. That’s a great feeling!

What’s not so great is the time required to create these monthly updates. They start to feel like a lot of work and I’m not looking forward to it like I used to do.

I’ve added 2 new platforms to my portfolio in August (Wisefund and PeerBerry) and with every platform there’s more work to do.

Many of you write emails to me and express your grattitude for the blog and I truly appreciate that. Knowing that this content helps a lot of people is what keeps me going. Thank you!
